February’s MNO will be on Tuesday, February 7th at 7 PM.  We will meat at Republic  (45 S. Division Ave, downtown).  Please contact Lori Ott (lleeott@hotmail.com or 246-6339) to let her know if you plan to attend so a seat can be saved for you.

In March we’ll be meeting at Georgio’s Pizza.

Our February Meeting WILL NOT be held at our regular location, instead we will be holding our annual Pamper Night at another location.  If you’re interested in joining us for this relaxing evening, check out our latest newsletter online or email Leslie Hinkle at jlhinklefamily@yahoo.com for details.

PLEASE NOTE that we have moved to our new location.  We are no longer meeting at Rogers Heights CRC.  All regular monthly meetings will now be held at South Wyoming United Methodist Church located at 2730 56th St. SW.  It’s a quick trip from M-6 up Byron Center and then west 1/2 mile on 56th St.

During non-church functions we are allowed to park in the handicap accessible spaces at the front of the church.  This will make it easier for some of our pregnant moms and members needing a quicker trip inside.  We look forward to settling into our new home and thank South Wyoming United Methodist Church for welcoming us to their building.

Our January meeting included a presentation from a Love & Logic facilitator.  If you’re interested in the resources presented during the meeting they can be located through the link below.

Early Reading Resources

The GRMOTC Running/Walking group participated in their first team race, the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure 5K on September 25, 2010. This is just part of the group that participated. Our team was 19 members strong (including two fathers of multiples and a grandmother) and did a great job raising money to fund breast cancer research. Many of the members had never been runners before and trained all summer to compete in this race. We hope to keep the running group going and make running the Race for the Cure an annual tradition for members of the club, their families and friends.

We all ran our own pace, but here are a few of the runners lining up to start the race.

Mom of twins, Melanie, heading towards the finish line. Dad of twins, Bill, kicking it in high gear to end the race.
