Tuesday, September 11th (Special Moms’ Night Out) – At 7:00 pm we’ll be meeting at Founder’s Brewery for a bonus mom’s night out!  Founders is located at 235 Grandville Ave. downtown Grand Rapids.

Tuesday, October 2nd – We’ll be getting together at Porto Bello’s (41 Washington St., Grand Haven) at 7 PM.  Any moms from the GR area wanting to car pool out there can plan on riding with me (I have room for 6 more).  Last time we met up at Toys R Us on Alpine and took I-96 out to Grand Haven together.  If moms from the Hudsonville area wanted to catch us in Allendale/Coopersville we could plan a stop there too.  Please contact Lori Ott (lleeott@hotmail.com) if you’d like to carpool.

Any moms are welcome any time to join us any time for Moms’ Night Out. The more the merrier! We love meeting new faces and I guarantee that the evenings are always full of fun and laughter. We don’t need to know you’re coming, just show up, but it’s always nice to know how big of a table to get so if you’re certain you’ll be there either drop a note on Facebook or email Lori Ott (lleeott@hotmail.com)

If you have any great ideas or suggestions for a Moms’ Night Out location, drop us a note on Facebook or email us and let us know.

IMPORTANT NOTICE!!!

PLEASE NOTE that we have moved to our new location.  We are no longer meeting at Rogers Heights CRC.  All regular monthly meetings will now be held at South Wyoming United Methodist Church located at 2730 56th St. SW.  It’s a quick trip from M-6 up Byron Center and then west 1/2 mile on 56th St.

During non-church functions we are allowed to park in the handicap accessible spaces at the front of the church.  This will make it easier for some of our pregnant moms and members needing a quicker trip inside.  We look forward to settling into our new home and thank South Wyoming United Methodist Church for welcoming us to their building.

Early Reading Resources

The GRMOTC Running/Walking group participated in their first team race, the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure 5K on September 25, 2010. This is just part of the group that participated. Our team was 19 members strong (including two fathers of multiples and a grandmother) and did a great job raising money to fund breast cancer research. Many of the members had never been runners before and trained all summer to compete in this race. We hope to keep the running group going and make running the Race for the Cure an annual tradition for members of the club, their families and friends.

We all ran our own pace, but here are a few of the runners lining up to start the race.

Mom of twins, Melanie, heading towards the finish line. Dad of twins, Bill, kicking it in high gear to end the race.
